The next installment of the Terminator series is currently in production, Dark Knight Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the leader of the human resistance against the army of terrifying Terminators. The highly anticipated next installment is set well after the machines took over and presents us with a wasteland where machines patrol the devastated landscape hunting down any remaining humans.

For me personally there's a lot riding on this movie and I hope it makes up for the previous Terminator movie that was total rubbish. There's a host of new actors playing various parts to this movie some of which I have no idea why they were cast, there could be a love interest and what looks like a young side kick just to make matters worse.

Also there seems to be no Arnold Schwarzenegger this time and it will feel a lot different without him, so who will play the main Terminator this time? I have seen the actor who has been cast to play the terminator and he doesn't have the same presence as Arnold does. Personally I'm not convinced this will be a great movie, sure it will be a big earner with all the hype and press it's getting but I feel that most movies coming out of Hollywood are just the same regurgitated hoopla over and over, directors and produces seem to care more about big explosions and over use of CG. We will have to wait and see on May 22, 2009.
