Patch Log

Patch Log is a ongoing log file of all the updates, modifications and development work on this blog. Each update will be logged with detailed information about the update and a blog version will display on front end of the site. Any additional plugins added will be mentioned here along with detailed information on their purpose.

Added help page for users who aren't familiar with RSS. This new help page gives an overview of what RSS is and how set it up to subscribe to the RSS feeds of this site.

Crazy Egg has been installed to track homepage user activity, this will help gauge exactly where most user interaction on the page is. Crazy Egg uses a visual heat map to show hot and cold areas of the page, the hottest areas show where users are clicking the most. This is simply to monitor user clicks and activity which as a result tweaks can then be made to help improve certain areas that aren't performing at their best.

New plugin added: Bad Behaviour to help combat spambot access.
New plugin added: Ultimate Gamer's Pack to increase accessibility to such devices as Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS-Lite and Sony PSP. This plugin renders an optimized version of posts and pages when visitors come to your blog.
